We partner with a dedicated program that aims to shield senior citizens from various forms of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
Recognizing the vulnerability of this demographic, this service offers resources with comprehensive support and protection to elderly individuals who may be suffering from domestic violence or other forms of mistreatment.
As part of our efforts, we work closely with local agencies and adult protective services to ensure a coordinated response to reported cases of elder abuse. This collaboration allows us to leverage additional resources and expertise to assist victims effectively.
Importantly, this service also provides direct short-term services to elderly victims of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. These services can include immediate safety planning, emotional support, and legal assistance.
By focusing on the unique needs and challenges faced by the elderly, DVAP is able to provide targeted, effective support to those who may otherwise struggle to access help.
